Continue shoppingWashing your synthetic hair extensions is an easy process, but washing them PROPERLY is the tricky bit. Here is our step by step guide on how to wash your synthethic hair extensions the sugalane way!
Brush your hair extensions
Whether you've worn your 'stennies for a night out, a wedding, or just for taking selfies. Give those beauties a brush before cleaning. With our anti-tangle technology, this should be a breeze, we recommend working from the tips and working towards the 'root'.
(TOP TIP: Clamp your hair extensions into a hanger for added tension)
Warm Water Only
Fill a basin with water. Too warm & you'll disturb the pattern of your extensions, whether that be straight or curled, so if you're wanting to keep some styling, make sure you're using lukewarm water!
Pump in 4-5 pumps of a sulfate-free shampoo & make to incorporate it into your basin of water.
Submerge Your 'Stennies
Fully submerge and allow your extensions to sit in the basin. The shampoo will melt down any product you've used and leave your 'stennies clean!
Swirl your extensions to ensure full coverage. DO NOT scrub your extensions.
Cool Water Time
Drain your basin and wash your extensions through with cold water until all shampoo has been removed. You're now just steps away from a fresh set of 'stennies!
Wrap To Dry
Wrap your 'stennies in a microfiber towel and give them a pat/squeeze to remove excess water. Again, make sure not to scrub or wipe to preserve the hair.
Cool You're Done!
You're done! Your 'stennies are all clean and ready for your next event. Hang your extensions and allow them to air dry, this should only take a few hours. Do not hang over direct heat e.g a radiator as this can damage the fiber.
